TIME TO RE-EVALUATE SOME THINGS HERE
I have nearly completed my first month within my first wardrobe capsule and I have to say, it's been interesting. I've also realized that the capsule wardrobe is too limiting on what I want to wear each month.
Hear me out...
I love wearing black, period. So, the idea of not wearing black for one-half of the year was not only depressing but idiotic on my part. Black and bold colors are perfect together! Why would I limit myself to only wearing navy and khaki as my neutrals for Spring/Summer? It's crazy!
So, I am in the process of re-working this whole capsule wardrobe concept to fit my personal lifestyle. In fact, I have decided to incorporate a couple concepts in order to help me towards my minimal lifestyle.
Here's how it's going to work:
ONE YEAR OF NO SHOPPING. NO CLOTHING, SHOES, AND ACCESSORIES SHOPPING.
That's right, I will not be shopping from now until April 26th, 2016. I am going to live off of my currently purged wardrobe for an entire year. I will be providing details on what's actually in my wardrobe by the end of next week.
This is going to be an epic journey. Being that I suffer from a shopping addiction and binge eating disorder, this is just the beginning to a long road towards recovery. This is something that I haven't really talked about but to sum it up, I have landed myself in quite a lot of debt from shopping and binge eating. I have been doing both because I do not want to deal with my weak emotional state head on. So, I have developed a plan that will help ease myself into rehabilitation and recovery.
This is the first step towards finding myself again. I want the real Sarah back, and if it means I have to go to extremes to do so, then I will.

As always, I hope you are all doing well and thanks for stopping by.
