Hello everyone! Hope everyone had a great weekend. I am back from Georgia. I went to a funeral for my cousin Michael, he died of cancer I never got a chance to meet him, but from what everyone shared about him, just his smile changed so many people's lives and gave them reasons to keep going. Of course, Amerie misbehaved at the service. She screamed and yelled randomly during the service, which was so embarrassing! I am really going to have to work on discipline with her. I know she's only two, but if you were there, you would feel the same way. I'm learning as I go, hopefully it will get better. I wore this ensemble on the way to Georgia. I had on two shirts underneath, because it was a tad bit cold when we got there. Amerie was well behaved on the car trip there and back, and she used the potty the entire time we were in the car and at the hotel. I am so proud of her getting the hang of potty training :)

I have recently been informed that I have received a Blogger Award from one of my dearest fashion friends, Aphrodite of Pandora's Box. Thank you so much A, it means so much to me! Here's how the award rules go:
1. Thank the person who gave you the award.
2. Name 10 things that make you happy.
3. Pass the award to 10 other bloggers and inform them.

So, without further waiting, here are my then things that make me happy.

1. Jesus/My Restored Faith
I am so happy that I have restored my faith in Jesus. It has been a long and hard road to get to where i am. Accepting Jesus as my Christ has helped improve my attitude towards different situations that have happened in my life. Of course, I'm not perfect and I have made some mistakes along the way. However, I know that Jesus loves me even when I am in the wrong, and He knows I will get back on path.

2. My Family
If it weren't for my mother and my daughter, I would probably not be here blogging at this moment. Though there are occasional fights and arguments, we still make it through it all. I love my mother and daughter so much, and they keep me going when I want to give up. There are not enough words to express the love I have for them.

3. Music
Music is such an essential part of my life. It influences how I dress, what I do during the day, it's so crucial. I love all types of music except country, heavy metal, and death metal. I think that it would be too hard to come up with a soundtrack of my life. I may do a post about it one day :)

4. Shopping
Ok, so these are definitely not bags from places I have shopped, but one day plan on shopping at. Shopping is a bit therapeutic for me. I love to find things at Goodwill and other thrift stores, as well as shop at my favorite retailers. Those include:
1. Wet Seal
2. Forever 21
3. ASOS
4. Go Jane
5. Target
Shopping is just a great way to help complete a person as a whole, and you need clothing to live, right? Why not look nice while living?

5. Dancing
Thanks to redrider4ever727 for the photo from Photobucket!
I love to dance, it's not surprise. I go to the club specifically to dance. I come up with dance routines in my room when I'm bored. I even teach Amerie some of my dance moves. When I hear music, my first instinct is to dance. I cannot help it. My foot starts tapping, then the head starts moving. Next thing you know, I've got a rough dance combination in my head. Once of my dreams was to be a back up dancer for Janet Jackson. Who knows, maybe one day I'll get to dance with her. Only in my dreams for now.

6. My Best Friends Porshia and Lisa
I promise I will actually post more pictures with them :) They are not even like best friends to me, they are my sisters. We've been friends since high school and I cannot imagine life without them. They've been there for me throughout all the good and bad times, from when I got pregnant to when I graduated from high school to all the shady ex-boyfriends. We've had a few fights, but nothing where we never made up and were back to square one. Porshia's my left brain and Lisa's my right brain. Without both of them, I'm not complete. Thanks for being there for me Porshia and Lisa, it means to much to me.

7. Warm Weather
This is a photo I took during the summer. I love love love warm weather. The perfect temperature to me is 78 degrees F. I hate when it's too cold or too hot. I mean, it just sucks. Lately it's been colder than usual, so my mood has kind of gotten depressing/upset because I want to wear shorts and skirts without tights again! Thankfully, warm weather is coming, just very slowly :/

8. Home Cooked Food
Thanks to Grow Bloomington for the photo!
There is nothing better than home cooked food from my mom. It just makes me feel so elated and content with life. I especially love when she makes Macaroni and Cheese and Potato Salad. I hate onions (and so does she) so it amazing when she makes it without it. I can't wait to actually learn to make these meals correctly. Amerie also loves home cooked food, which I'm happy about because in a sense, it's healthier than fast food.

9. Helping someone out
I get so much joy from knowing that I was able to help someone out. This usually has a bad result for me, either with me being broke or getting taken advantage of. However, knowing that I am able to help people out gives me hope that maybe one day, someone will pay it forward and eventually if I need help, someone will be there for me.

10. Blogging

Blogging is such a great concept and I love it. I love connecting with people across the world. I feel that by sharing my story and my daily struggles and achievements, it may help someone out there who isn't doing well or doesn't see the light at the end of the tunnel. I also love blogging because it is a great way to bring me closer to the fashion industry, which is where I hope to be once I graduate. Blogging is even used in my classroom. I use my blog to vent some days, other days to share my joy with you all, and some days just to check on some of my blogging friends.

Now, speaking of blogging friends, I am going to list my 10 award recipients :)

Well, it's getting close to time for me to go to bed. Thanks for all of the love and support!

Sarah Jane
