Hardware

Spikes protect me from the world.
They also say I'm not a soft little girl.
They're sharp and can cut in deep.
And if pressed harder can cause an eternal sleep.

Chains hold me down and oppress.
The rust can leave a terrible mess.
They can lock me in so I can't escape.
But once broken I can run far away.
Studs can illude danger, but really are not.
I feel so comfy when I have a lot.
They tell you I have a hard exterior.
But I am still rounded and soft in my interior.
So many people know of those silver/pewter elements.
They can be self expression or show off great fashion sense.
Studs, chains, and spikes are not too hard to wear.
But remember to be mindful of the classic hardware.

Wearing Old navy black wrap dress, DIY black studded peep toe heels, Walmart silver hoop earrings, Forever 21 silver chain-link necklace, Walmart silver men's watch, and Girlprops.com silver bow ring

Okay so as you can see, this poem was inspired by my photos. These are my third DIY with hand studding items. These were originally a plain pair of peep toe heels, but as you can see in the pictures below, I added spikes to the back. They are essentially the shoe version of a mullet: business in the front and party in the back haha. Anyways, I am still waiting on getting photos of the fashion show, as I was backstage and didn't really get a change to take photos. I also still have to work on the Thank You notes for the businesses who supported us (Shout out to Payless, Old Navy, and Sears!). These pictures are older, as you can see with me using the remote (thanks goodness for the self-timer now). I know the photos are blurry but the point is to show how a simple LBD can be given a rocker edge with studs and a chain-link necklace. Thanks so much for the support on my comeback post. I promise to try and post at least three times a week :) Thanks to the new followers as well! Almost to 100, it's so crazy :) Anyways, hope you all have a great Wednesday and if you have any questions about the studding, just email me!

Oh one last thing. I am looking to feature other fashion bloggers on my website so if you would like a feature, email me and I will send you the questions. Features will be done in the order that emails are received and I will let you know what day I will post it. The features will be on Wednesdays most likely :)

Here's photos of my DIY studded heels

Peace, Love, and Happiness!
