Spring Break

Fun in the sun
The war is won
The sunshine melts away the cold

Love is free flowing
Children's faces glowing
Oh what a beautiful day
Beaches are full
The water is cool
Vacations are coming alive
Flowers are blooming
There's no need to be gloomy
And I'm ready to take the big dive.
Enjoying the relaxation
Of course with no hesitation
I lay lazy for a little while
Thankful for the break
Something I needed to take
Now to continue on this long mile

Spring Break by Sarah Jane R. Copyright 2011

Wearing ASOS black fringe crop top, Forever 21+ black maxi skirt, Forever 21 leopard print work boots, old bronze leaf earrings, turquoise and silver ring from NYC, and Walmart amethyst stone ring.

I know I haven't blogged in two weeks. I miss it so much! I am on spring break and don't have to work today so I wanted to do a post to let you know I am alive :) I have had so much homework, it's just insane and the semester is almost over! I have been trying to maintain my GPA and still participate in different school activities. I am now the Treasure for the USF St. Pete chapter for the National Organization of Women (N.O.W.) I also am now a member of the No Bull Dance Troupe on campus (as a dancer and style director). I am still in the Black Student Association as well as the Spectrum Mentor program. I am just so busy these days, I've been looking like crap lol. But today since I am home, I decided to have fun with my look.

This look in particular is different from my normal attire. I have been seeing a few plus size women rocking the midriff look. So, I decided to give it a try myself. I am very self-conscious of my stomach and really don't like to show any of it, but it actually looked pretty good here :) I also wanted to show off  one of my newest purchases, these leopard print work boots from Forever 21. They are so comfy and fun! I have been wearing these a lot to school on my lazy days lol.

I want to show out Kirstin of Crimson Rosella for featuring me on her blog March 6, 2011. The feature can be found here and on my features list on my my side bar :) I am so appreciative for the feature, especially since Kirstin is an inspiration to me as well. Check out her blog as well as my feature :)

Thanks so much for all of the comments and support while I've been gone. I promise to try and squeeze in at least two posts a week since my schedule is so tight. Again, thanks so much and hope everyone is enjoying their day!

Peace, Love, and Happiness!
