Before I go into how my days have been lately, I would like to say that I have been deeply saddened by the loss of a fashion icon. Lee Alexander McQueen was so innovative and exciting. His designs were intricate and extravagant in their own right. He will be missed, and my prayers go out to his family. I just hope people do not try to capitalize on his death, like they have done a recent icon who passed away.

On a lighter note, I wore this outfit to class on Thursday. I wanted to brighten up this cold weather with my yellow blazer and purple purse. I also wanted to show that I do wear jeans other than skinny ones lol. I have seen a few people wearing flares lately and figured I'd bring mine out. They are long length because I love a long flare. Of course, that means I am restricted to wearing heels unless I cuff them and wear flats. But being that I was going for a "business casual" ensemble, the platform sandals were necessary. I needed my hat and gloves because it was rather cold. My hands and head are always cold more than my chest and legs. I could wear shorts in the cold but I would definitely need an jacket. I know, I'm rather odd haha.

So, I will officially be alone for Valentine's Day as far as a significant other is concerned. However, Amerie said she would be my Valentine and she would get me candy (with what money I have no idea). I got her a Valentine's Day shirt and then I plan on wearing a red shirt. I'll take pictures of us and post them here either tomorrow or Monday. I am not as sad about not having a significant other for Valentine's Day as I thought I would be. I think maybe I'm okay with being single finally. A slight epiphany, yay!

Well, I am going to get my daughter and I ready to go visit my best friend/sister. I am going to leave you all with my new favorite song, "Rude Boy" by Rihanna
