Hello everyone! Hope you all have had a great Monday and weekend! BREAKING NEWS....I HAVE MY LAPTOP BACK! Yes, I will be back to blogging regularly and posting as much as possible. I still have no job, but school is starting soon which means refund check after tuition and books are paid for :). I am so excited for school to start, mainly because I will be closer to going on my trip to NYC :)

I wanted to show off another DIY denim project. I initially bleached these jeans, you know, to do something cool. However, I really wanted a pair of dark wash ripped jeans, so I did it the "ghetto" way and used scissors and a kitchen knife. This is the result. I also added more bleach to them than I had before. I'm so happy with the results. I plan on wearing lace leggings underneath during the slightly colder months this year, as well as with my lace up Harley Davidson boots :) The sequin jacket is my favorite thrift find from Goodwill. It's actually from Shop Goodwill, and I tell you, a lot of my great thrift finds are from Goodwill and Shop Goodwill. It's way too hot to wear this jacket right now, but you will see it slightly often during the fall/winter. I figured the rest of the outfit should be simple against the ripped jeans and sequin jacket. A casual look with details that make it pop.

So, as I mentioned, I got my laptop back from the IT person at my mother's job. I have to be really careful on which websites I go on from now on. I lost some stuff, but over 90% of my data was saved. I am so blessed and thankful to everyone who prayed with me that this laptop would be fixable. I now have an external drive as well, so I have to remember to transfer things there as well. I was so afraid that I would end up not just having to buy a new hard drive but to also have to start all the way over. However, everything worked out fine.

I have to jet though, I need to do some chores and clean. However, you know I'm going to leave you with a song of the day. Getting in touch with my Island roots (1/3 Trinidadian), the song of the day is "Hold Yuh" by Gyptian featuring Nicki Minaj.
