I have recently purchased a new short sleeved LBD with bandage detail from ASOS and have been trying to figure out how to make it last. I am thinking of bring it with me to NYC but wanted to see how I could make it go from day to night. So, here are a few ways to make an LBD on trend for this season. Granted, these are not just trendy, but realistic looks as well :)
Updated Work Attire
Give your work LBD look an update by adding a great blazer in one of this season's signature colors, red. Keep everything else, such as shoes, purse/work tote, in black, while adding flair with a gold and black cocktail ring, gold studs, and cool 50s wayfarer sunglasses. A great updated classic look.
A Casual Day
A casual way to rock the LBD is to add a denim jacket and gladiator sandals. A great satchel, such as the Alexander Wang Mini Rocco Duffel, adds a little rocker edge with the brass studding at the bottom. Gold accessories compliment the hardware as well as the shoes.
Hollywood Glam Meets Modern Girl's Night Out
The LBD is definitely a great choice for going out when you're not sure what to wear. Keep the look elegant and sexy by adding silver and black accessories to it. A bold earring, bracelet, and ring make a statement with the tough shoes and belt. A black clutch is the finishing touch. However, bold fashion-forward people could add a silver or even a pop of color as a clutch or another accessory.
Glam-Boho Rocking All Night
A great rocker-glam inspired look, full of fun. A leopard fur vest makes the classic LBD edgy, and the platform ankle booties and bold jewelry don't hurt either. A cute bowler hat adds to the fun. A great boho glam ensemble, perfect for going out or even just running around town with the girls.
