Boss Chick

It pays to be a boss chick
I'm not just talking about money though
I'm talking about being your own boss in every aspect of life
A lot of women think they are, but inside, they are truly not a boss
I personally don't claim to be a total boss chick
I don't have my license and i still live with my mom
Those are definitely big things boss chicks don't do
However, I do know that I am a boss chick in training
 How am I in training?
I may not be on my own completely but I do makes moves
With a GPA that some dream for, working two jobs, taking care of my responsibilities
Not to mention being stylish, dancing my heart out,  and having time to party, only boss chicks do that.
The two issues that keep me from being complete are easy to obtain yet hard for me
I fear driving because of other drivers and my attention span is short.
I fear living on my own because I am so close to my mother and my family house.
But as a boss chick, you have to do what you gotta do.

Did I mention it's hard to find love as a boss chick?
Boys are intimidated by your strong, independent aura.
They feel inadequate compared to you.
That's why boss chicks only date and associate with men.
All in all, being a boss chick is a lot of work.
You have to control home, work, and social life.
Yet sometimes the one thing we want to control we can't.
That is our emotional life.

Wearing a thrifted Faded Glory denim shirt, Norma Kamali for Walmart beige pencil skirt, Target black round toe pumps, vintage burgundy leather clutch, Forever 21 leopard print sunglasses, vintage gold and jewel drop clip on earrings, Forever 21 gold bangles, thrifted brown stone cocktail ring, and a Charlotte Russe gold hammered ring

That was a little spoken word poetry for y'all. Hope everyone is having a great Wednesday thus far. I have class tonight and I am so nervous about giving my speech. I also work my second job today. Hence the professional attire :) I of course have flats because for some reason, the heels hurt the most when walking  around. I am just hoping to make it through the whole day in these lol.

I have been having fun with Afro-centric looks outside of my blog and can't wait to actually wear them out and show you them here :) I am in love with turbans and bright, bold colors so let's see how this works out. I guess I'm Afro-centric meets glam with a little rocker and 80s haha.

Thanks so much for the support of my posts. I really appreciate the love :) I also hope you are all checking out my mom's jewelry on my sidebar to the right. She does custom pieces as well. If you have the beads, she can do her best to make what you want out of them :) Check her out, or even hit me up with requests and I can give them to her.

Have an amazing Wednesday!

Peace, Love, and Happiness!
