Losing My Grip

10 comments:

Lately I've been feeling like my life is out of order
I've been trying to plan for the future, yet still try and deal with stresses of the now
I am wondering if maybe I am putting too much pressure on myself
Maybe I just need to relax and take a deep breath

But who has time to relax?
I have so many tasks on my plate.
Between working two jobs, going to school full-time, and raising my daughter
When will I ever have time to actually breath?
A man once told me that I don't take enough time for myself
But when you have a child, your time gets cut down a lot
My daughter will always come first, as well as her needs
That means working two jobs and going to school, so I know that I can give her everything she needs
However, I see now more than ever I need to take time for myself
I am starting to feel more tired, more run-down, and my eating habits are horrible
I have no time for proper nutrition, exercise, or self-indulgence
This has got to end now
I am going to start taking time for myself to do something stress free
Maybe I'll take up yoga or read some books
Hey, maybe I'll have time to do some offline poetry writing
Whatever I do, I know that I need to do it before time passes me by and I disappear in my own stress

Losing My Grip by Sarah Jane R. Copyright 2011

Wearing a leopard print blouse from Marshall's, thrifted red high waist trousers, GoJane black and gold strappy platform sandals, Cotton On black satchel, Target black skinny belt, Beauty Shop gold hoop earrings, Walmart black men's watch, and Forever 21 red jewel bangle

I am really starting to feel like crap. I've been working two jobs all summer and I feel like my head is going to explode. I really need to think about just having one day where I release the stress. Actually, this needs to be an everyday thing. I am going back to exercising, because it actually gave me energy during the day. I need to lose weight and I need my health in order.

Speaking of healthy, I am feeding my usual shopping addiction. I purchased these gorgeous high waisted flare jeans from Old Navy. I will be wearing them once they come in the mail. I will have to do a test look for it of just the jeans on me (not styled or anything) and see how it works. If they fit, I will be rocking them during my first week of classes :)

Thanks so much for the comments on the last post. I have been trying to wear things in my closet that haven't had much of a showing on my blog. I just got rid of 6 bags of clothes and my closet feel purged and full of items that I love to wear.

I will be trying to post at least twice a week. I want to start my Runway My Way Friday posts again, but I gotta do my research and get outfits ready :) Hope you all have a wonderful Monday!

Peace, Love, and Happiness!

P.S. I recently gave away my Cotton On black bag in this photo. I had a talk with God and He told me to give it to one of the most influential people I have met in my life, as a going-away present. So the search for a new black bag begins....now! Any suggestions? I do have a budget, preferably under $100 would be fantastic!

  10. Have a break and take your child abroad or somewhere where the two of you can relax and enjoy time together. I know it is hard work being a mom and you are doing a great job but other than that I love your outfit. Leopard print looks great on you!
